We are on a mission to get the world drinking real tea!

What are your environmental / social initiatives?

We care deeply about the communities from where we source our tea leaves, and donate a percentage of every pack of our english breakfast blend to The Point Foundation which benefits at risk young people in Rwanda.

When and why did you start your business?

Nick and Lou started teapigs in 2006 so that people could drink real tea made from whole ingredients, not that dusty stuff you'd find in other tea bags.

What does sustainability mean to you?

Sustainability means being connected to our communities, producing tea in a way that's environmentally and socially responsible, and striving to make ourselves and our products better for the world every day

What were some of the challenges you faced incorporating sustainability into your business?

Sourcing tea is a global initiative, which means we have to be very good at managing our shipping practices.

What is one thing readers can do to lighten their footprint?

Drink tea that's in compostable bags! our tea temples are made of corn-starch, and are fully compostable.
